SAP - Senior Project Manager - onsite

The Project Manager (the Consultant) selected via this SOW will report to SAP SM PMO Lead. This role will be responsible for delivering services as defined in this SOW. The Project Manager will have an intermediate level of experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering complex enterprise scale programs in both the public and private sectors. The Project Manager will work with other members of the SAP SM team to develop and manage work plans and to deliver standardization and industry leading practice approaches for project management.

The initial duration is for approximately 9 months, with an option to extend based on ongoing requirements.

Responsibilities
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
In support of this Project, the overall responsibilities of the Project Manager are as follows:

· In collaboration with key SAP SM team members, develop and manage work plans for one or more assigned Projects.

· Contribute to definition of the overall project management processes, standards, and best practices.

· Ensure project activities are executed according to the approved plans.

· Ensure that project scope and timeline are within the approved guidelines.

· Ensure all required management deliverables are produced (e.g., program plan, work plan, management reviews, requests for changes and outstanding issues) and seek approval when necessary.

· Manage project issues and risks and escalate as necessary.

· Ensure deliverables are produced, approved, and accepted in accordance with organizational standards.

· Communicate with and support the SAP SM teams in applying defined project management processes.

· Support, guide, coach and assist team members as required.

· Ensure user experience (UX) is considered throughout the project phases.

· Advocate for the project.

Qualifications
The Project Manager will have the following qualifications:

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing complex projects/programs. Using a variety of project management methodologies, including vendor-driven, Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Six-Sigma, and/or PRINCE2.

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing projects within a Project/Program Structure including matrix governance, collaboration with multiple PMO project managers in cross project scheduling and critical path management.

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with managing large projects (preferably ERP solutions) in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

· Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

· Strong collaboration skills. Ability to collaborate productively with all levels of an organization, from the most senior to the most junior level.



Desired Qualifications:


The following qualifications are considered assets:

· PMP certification.

· SAP project implementation – experience leading and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP.

· Experience with projects in the adoption of various cloud-based solutions (e.g., SAAS, PAAS).

· Experience in managing projects/programs within the Nova Scotia public sector.
