Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipper/Forklift Operator for a 3-month position in the Burnaby area. This role is ideal for a skilled warehouse and distribution professional who is confident operating an electric counterbalance forklift and enjoys a balance of forklift work, shipping and receiving, order preparation, and hands-on warehouse duties.
The Shipper/Forklift Operator will support daily warehouse flow by moving product safely, verifying shipments, preparing orders, and helping ensure customer orders are accurate and ready to ship. This is a great opportunity to join a busy logistics environment with a team-focused atmosphere, supportive supervision, and steady daytime hours during vacation coverage and peak season.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate an electric counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and stage product.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying loads and checking product accuracy.
- Pick, pack, label, build, and wrap skids for outgoing shipments.
- Offload containers from trucks and assist with warehouse product movement.
- Hand bomb product as required based on daily workload and operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse work area.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $28 per hour.
- Schedule: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Position length: 3-month position covering vacations and peak season.
