Job description
At the intersection of raw material and pure precision, we create the components that keep industries moving. We aren’t just running machines; we are engineering accuracy and shaping the future of manufacturing. If you are a skilled operator ready to take ownership of your craft from day one, your next breakthrough starts here.

Your Impact (Responsibilities)
Own the Line: Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes independently to meet and exceed daily production targets.

Troubleshoot & Optimize: Diagnose machine irregularities and fine-tune CNC programs on the fly to maintain a seamless operational flow.

Guarantee Quality: Interpret complex blueprints and utilize precision instruments like micrometers and calipers to ensure every part meets exact tolerances.

Drive Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a pristine, hazard-free workspace and collaborate with the team to elevate our manufacturing processes.

Who You Are (Requirements)
Experienced Maker: Bring a proven track record of setting up and running CNC mills or lathes in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

Blueprint Fluent: Possess the ability to effortlessly read and decipher complex technical drawings and work orders.

Detail-Oriented: Demonstrate mastery in using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and indicators.

Code-Literate: Hold a solid foundational understanding of G-code to interpret and adjust machine programs safely.

Reliable & Ready: You operate with urgency, thrive with minimal supervision, possess reliable personal transportation to get to work, and are ready to start immediately.

Advantages
Competitive pay: $24-$32/hour
Night and day shifts available 10-pm-6AM, 8-430 pm
Skilled manufacturing roles with long-term stability.
Direct, hands-on CNC setup and machining responsibilities.
A collaborative team that prioritizes your safety.
Room to grow into a permanent, rewarding career.

Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance: Prioritize workplace safety by strictly adhering to company QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and maintaining an organized workstation.

Technical Planning: Blueprint read and interpret engineering plans, work orders, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to map out machining processes.

CNC Programming & Setup: Program and configure mills and lathes. Set zero/reference points, calculate offsets, and install essential tooling, chucks (3-jaw/4-jaw), and fixtures.

Mathematical Precision: Apply geometry and trigonometry to calculate exact machining paths and requirements.

Operation & Material Handling: Safely load raw materials using overhead cranes or manual lifting, monitor machine cycles, and troubleshoot any runtime malfunctions.

Quality Control: Inspect first-run and sample parts to verify tolerances, deburr finished components, and accurately document daily production and quality logs.

Maintenance & Growth: Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and actively participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications
Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Machinist, including 2–3 years specifically focused on CNC mill and/or lathe setup.
Technical Skills: Proficient with Fanuc operational systems and Okuma G-Code; strong, practical knowledge of machine tooling.
Blueprints & Math: Proven ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, and verbal directions with precision.
Inspection Tools: Expertise using precision measuring instruments (calipers, ID/OD micrometers, height gauges, thread wires/gauges).
Problem-Solving: Skilled at troubleshooting machine operations, detecting defects, and maintaining rigorous quality standards.
Physical Roles: Fit to stand for extended shifts and comfortably lift/move materials ranging from 30 to 50 lbs.
Soft Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Assets: A CNC Certificate, CNC programming experience, or familiarity with ISO/API standards is highly preferred.
Requirement: Must possess and wear CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots.
