PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR (COOKING) Position Type: Temporary Part Time Number of Positions: One (1) Department: Community Services Department - Recreation Division File Number: SV26-66 Location: Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre (265 Cannifton Road, Belleville, ON) Hours: 1-10 hours per week – daytime, evening and weekend shifts Employee Group : Non-Union Salary: $19.99 - $21.90 per hour Closing Date: Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 4:30 PM PURPOSE AND SCOPE: As a member of the Community Services Department, this staff person will provide children with an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills in a variety of general or special interest activities in a friendly, engaging, and caring environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring the safety and supervision of the participants and following all rules and regulations set out by the Community Services Department and/or outside organizations.

Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the activities being led to ensure a successful program.

Responsible for the proper handling, cleanliness, and care of the equipment, supplies, and facilities and to report any damages or losses to the supervisor.

Ensure the completion and submission of the required administrative forms (lesson plans, injury reports, supply requests, etc.) in a timely manner.

Attend all Staff Training sessions and scheduled staff meetings, as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent Customer Service skills Current Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Certification or equivalent from a WSIB recognized organization High Five – Principles of Healthy Child Development certification Current Safe Food Handling certification Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (“CRC”) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSC) prior to commencing work at the City of Belleville ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Post secondary education in child/youth related field of study Coaching/Instructing certification (ie.
