Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electro-Hydraulic Actuators and process control systems.
They have an international and diversified client base supported by their sales groups based in Montreal.

POSITION SUMMARY :
Technically adept and hands-on person who will determine and develop product design, engineering methods and processes that create solutions to meet customer’s specifications and market expectations.
Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure products meet design criteria and implement corrective actions when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Concept development, design, and execution.
Creation and maintenance of engineering models and Bills of Materials Perform engineering calculations to validate design.
Ensure implementation of formal processes to support the product.
Develop and enhance Engineering and Material Standards.
Lead implementation of parametric design using SolidWorks Refine and expand the Company's drawing management system (PDM).
Ensure design, performance specifications and timelines are met by coordinating across
Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operations.
Create, establish, and ensure that any required actuator or system test plans are met and that the end product meets or exceeds customer requirements.
Coordinate and communicate with material and component suppliers on new 3rd party products, materials or processes applicable to our products.
Contribute to the daily engineering tasks.
Hands-on technical support to customers and internal departments
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical / Electro-mechanical Engineering from a recognized Canadian university or equivalent
5 + years’ experience in a relevant role in a mechanical design / engineering environment.
Proven aptitude in use of parametric solid modeling with SolidWorks - 3D parametric solid modeling and FEA.
Knowledgeable in manufacturing process and fluid power system design.
Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist an asset.
Hands-on experience in the manufacturing / fluid power environment is an asset.
