Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations for our client in Whitby, ON. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and developing high-performing teams while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all activities.
  • Pay Rate: $65,000 - $75,000/year (based on experience)
  • Location: Whitby, ON

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Warehouse Supervisors and Material Handlers
  • Manage daily warehouse operations with a strong hands-on approach
  • Hire, train, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Monitor daily productivity and ensure targets and budget goals are met or exceeded
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure operational performance and drive improvements
  • Plan and coordinate inbound shipments, including container scheduling and workforce allocation
  • Schedule weekly manpower based on projected volumes and operational needs
  • Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve space utilization and efficiency
  • Oversee inventory processes, including cycle counts and full inventory counts, ensuring system accuracy
  • Maintain documentation, reporting, and operational records
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company standards
  • Manage and resolve escalated operational issues and incidents
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Customer Service, IT, Inventory, Logistics, and Purchasing
  • Oversee building maintenance and manage external contractors
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency with MS Office and AS400 systems
  • Valid forklift certification
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Proven accountability and ability to drive results
  • A hands-on leader who leads by example
  • Strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
