Your Impact
Orchestrate the cross-dock floor for a major SE Calgary transportation hub, managing high-volume LTL freight movement with precision.
Maximize trailer space and safety by perfectly balancing freight weights and configuring loads for transit.

Who You Are
Certified Expert: You hold a valid, current Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift ticket.
Cross-Dock Veteran: You possess proven experience in a fast-paced transportation or LTL freight hub and inherently understand trailer weight distribution.
Autonomous Worker: You are a seasoned freight hustler who thrives with independence and takes pride in owning your workspace.
Reliable Professional: You are fully committed to a steady afternoon schedule and consistently bring high energy to the floor.

Responsibilities
Operat a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to manage heavy LTL freight traffic on a fast-paced dock.
Load and unload diverse transport trailers, meticulously balancing and securing weight distribution for safe transit.
Prioritize daily shipments independently to consistently meet demanding dispatch and departure timelines.
Inspect incoming and outgoing freight to proactively detect, document, and report damages or discrepancies.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free dock environment, ensuring a seamless and safe handoff to the morning shift.

Qualifications
Certification: Must hold a valid Forklift Ticket/Certification.
Schedule: Requires availability for initial afternoon training before transitioning to a permanent night shift.
Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift.
Bonus Skills: Prior experience handling Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight is highly preferred.
Safety Gear: Must possess CSA-approved steel-toe boots and high-visibility safety wear.
