Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Analyst

What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $52-62 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $62-72 per hour.
• 9-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Hybrid: 3 days/week in Toronto office.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the technology contact for business continuity and operational resilience requirements.
• Support business and technology partners in identifying and managing business continuity and operational resilience risks.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to support critical operations and services during disruptions.
• Coordinate and facilitate business impact assessments.
• Organize and lead business continuity tabletop exercises and realistic simulation exercises.
• Develop strategies and plans to support organizational continuity during emergency situations.
• Work with process and technology owners to design and implement recovery documentation, including business continuity plans, vendor exit plans, and test or simulation reports.
• Provide guidance on risk management practices and deliver training and education on resilience-related topics.
• Assess disruption risks and develop strategies to reduce potential impacts.
• Provide advice on business continuity planning leading practices, review existing plans, and recommend improvements.
• Support Level 2 and Level 3 reviews of business continuity management program practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders to document business impact assessments and business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with risk management, compliance, and audit partners to support program alignment and requirements.
What you will need to succeed:
• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, or MBCP), or actively working toward obtaining certification.
• 5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, and Project Management within a large, complex organization.
• Experience developing and implementing recovery documentation, including business continuity plans, vendor exit plans, and test or simulation reports.
• Experience facilitating and developing simulation and recovery exercises.
• Experience managing and engaging stakeholders.
• Experience within the financial services industry is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of OSFI B10 and E21 requirements and industry best practices.
• Understanding of business resilience tools and techniques.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with business continuity management planning tools and relational databases, including Fusion Risk Management, Archer, and Power BI.
• Understanding of information technology concepts, including cloud computing and infrastructure, is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence is considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver effective training sessions and presentations to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, engage stakeholders, and influence others.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong critical thinking and ownership mindset.
