This role leads the development and delivery of exceptional, life‑changing learning experiences within the Aviation and Construction Portfolios, collaborating with teams across SAIT as well as industry, funders, and training partners.
As the Product Manager, you bring deep domain expertise and champion the learner experience, understanding the critical importance of these sectors to Alberta’s economic ecosystem. You will oversee a suite of learning products and services, ensuring they meet customer needs, generate revenue, and achieve business objectives.
You will lead product discovery, vision and strategy, analytics, and cross‑functional coordination to build, launch, and iterate on innovative training products. You’ll work closely with teams across the Corporate Development, Applied Research and International Division responsible for delivery, instructor contracts, and learning management platforms. You will also coordinate internal and industry partners in co‑creation activities such as roundtables, guest speaking, and program engagement. You are the advocate and champion for your products, ensuring stakeholders have the tools and information they need to support and promote the programs.

You bring a strong understanding of your industry verticals, including talent trends, opportunities, challenges, and the skills that create pathways into emerging careers. How you'll contribute
Product Strategy and Vision
- Identify customer needs, define target markets, determine product roadmaps, and develop pitch presentations
- Understand pathways for future learning and career progression
- Develop and maintain domain expertise in the defined product stack
Market Research and Analytics
- Gather and analyze data on customer needs, preferences, and behaviours
- Conduct competitive analysis
- Interpret and apply market trend insights
Product Development and Iteration
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage program development, workflows, processes, and reporting
- Oversee product development and refinement to ensure timelines and budgets are met
Product Launch Strategy
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies for new and revised products
- Establish pricing strategies
Product Performance
- Identify and track performance metrics (sales, customer satisfaction, profitability, etc.)
- Make data‑informed decisions on improvements, updates, and new features
Stakeholder Management
- Identify and negotiate agreements with funders, suppliers, industry, and community partners
- Build strong relationships with industry to understand talent needs and co‑create programming
- Collaborate with Academic Schools, Applied Research, Youth Programming, and other areas involved in product development
- Serve as the internal product champion, maintaining a central source of truth for strategy, vision, and product documentation
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate risks related to technical issues, staffing, regulatory requirements, and customer satisfaction
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management or a closely related field
