Job Description

The site is a hub for receiving large orders of gases and repackaging them into smaller containers for a diverse range of clients. The packagers play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise processing of these orders.

Responsibilities

• Take cylinders and load them onto racks.
• Fill cylinders using machines.
• Label cylinders accurately.
• Perform pneumatic lifting on cylinders.
• Use computers to validate gas pressure levels and consult work orders.
• Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move materials.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packaging and material handling.
• Mechanical inclination, especially with compressors and pneumatics.
• Ability to use documentation and basic computer skills.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift operation certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in labeling and chemical packaging.
• Familiarity with pneumatic lifts.

Work Environment

The facility is a state-of-the-art, clean environment with bright lighting, specializing in decommissioning old chillers to repurpose and sell gas as new. The work schedule is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Employees are provided with PPE for certain procedures like filling and testing, ensuring a safe and professional work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dartmouth, NS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
