Join a high‑performing and inspiring team of legal professionals. Effectively manage your own volume of litigation cases across all lines of Intact business and collaborate with intermediate and senior lawyers on litigation matters. Lead a range of cases from beginning to end in diverse and engaging areas of intervention. Draft legal opinions. Prepare and submit an initial report and subsequent follow‑up reports presenting your recommendations. Represent Intact and its insureds before civil and administrative courts. Deepen your professional expertise by working alongside experienced lawyers. Support insurance operations teams from Intact business lines and affiliated companies by providing your unique expertise. Contribute to the operations, directions, and strategies of Intact's claims service in Quebec, particularly through communication of legal information. Prepare and present training seminars to the claims service and write articles on topics of interest for internal distribution. Work as a member of the claims legal team on implementing programs and procedures aimed at delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective legal services both internally and externally. Qualifications
Bachelor of Law and a member of the Quebec Bar for at least 1 year. 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in civil litigation, particularly in insurance and civil liability. Strong writing, research, and legal analysis skills, knowledge of litigation phases, interest in advocacy and trial experience is an asset. Experience in employment law (individual and collective employment contracts) is an important asset. Sense of responsibility and priority management, open mind and strong communication skills. Negotiation skills and strategic thinking to recommend settlement directions when relevant. Dynamic, efficient, team spirit and influential leadership. Openness to travel: the person may be called to handle cases in all regions of Quebec. Bilingualism (French and English) both orally and written is an asset. The claims legal service also handles cases involving anglophone parties. Benefits
