Job descriptionOverview Courtyard by Marriott London is seeking an energetic, strategic, and results-driven Director of Sales to lead commercial efforts for our exciting pre-opening hotel. This leadership role is ideal for a hospitality sales professional who thrives in building market presence, developing key business relationships, and driving revenue performance from the ground up.
As Director of Sales, you will play a critical role in positioning our hotel within the market, establishing corporate partnerships, growing group business, and leading strategic sales initiatives aligned with Marriott brand standards.

Key Responsibilities – Revenue & Business Development
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and revenue goals
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, group, leisure, and negotiated accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, travel partners, sports organizations, healthcare accounts, and community partners
Conduct outside sales calls, networking activities, property tours, and client presentations
Prospect and secure new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
Participate in local market analysis and competitive positioning initiatives
Marriott Systems & Commercial Leadership
Utilize Marriott sales systems and platforms effectively
Monitor STR reports, pacing, production reports, and market trends
Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing strategies and demand periods
Collaborate with Operations leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences and account retention
Maintain accurate account management and forecasting practices
Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as a member of the hotel leadership team
Partner with Operations, Front Office, and Food & Beverage teams to execute successful group and event experiences
Participate in budget development and annual business planning
Represent the hotel at industry functions, networking events, and community initiatives
Uphold Marriott brand standards and service culture
Ready set sell certification if possbile.
Qualifications – Required
Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience
Minimum 1–2 years in a hotel sales leadership role preferred
Proven track record of achieving revenue and sales targets
Strong corporate sales and account management experience
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Strong business acumen and analytical ability
Ability to work independently while leading strategic initiatives
Experience with CRM systems and hotel sales reporting tools
Valid driver's license and ability to conduct local market sales activities
Preferred
Experience working within Marriott Hotels or Marriott branded properties is considered a strong asset
Pre-opening hotel experience considered an asset
Knowledge of STR reporting, market analysis, and revenue management principles
Experience with Marriott sales systems and brand platforms is an advantage
Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related education preferred
