This role works closely with the marketing teamother Vernon Office departmentsand key operationsstakeholderstoplan administer and executeactivitiessuch as grant donations charitablefundraisersand local marketingcampaigns.

Responsibilities

CommunityEngagementPrograms

• Overseesthe digital application processes for CommunityEngagement(CE)programs including reviewing summarizing and short-listing applications for the CEcommittees
• Coordinate program communications and marketing. This includes replying to inquiries about donations/sponsorships notifying applicants about the status of their applications promoting the programs to potential applicants coordinating local team engagements with community events drafting social media and website content etc.
• Organize theadministrative &payment processes for grants and donations including collecting paperwork from grant recipientsproducingagreement documents for signature by required stakeholderspreparing cheque requisitions getting approvals for payments and tracking payment status.
• Coordinate marketing and publicity plans to ensurepositive brand messaging for Kal Tireresulting from community engagement programs.
• Gather and organize program data outcomes photos video media coverage etc. and draft annual internal reports on behalf of the CEcommittees.
• Assistwith preparation of presentation reportsnewslettersand other communication materialsto educate stakeholders of status and progress of CEprograms.
• Make recommendations to continually improve all aspects of community engagement programs.

Local Store Marketing

• Developmaintainand support local marketing infrastructure & resourcesincluding the Local MarketingSharePointsite and related learning modules
• Growoptimizeandmaintainlocal marketing portal for quick access to marketing materials by Store Team Members
• Maintain positive working relationships with key vendors whoassistKal Tire teams with effective and impactful execution of local marketing activities
• Provide guidance and support to Kal Tire stores in developing and executing local marketing plans
• Executenew store opening marketing plans toensure sales targets are met atnew Kal Tire stores
• Assistwith design of advertising and promotional materials to ensure compliance with brand guidelines in local marketing activities
• Collaborate with Kal Tire stores toplan andexecute in-store & community events to build brand and drive sales in local markets

Charity & DonationActivities

• Responds to donation and fundraising inquiries with professionalism and poise.
• Coordinates donation activities forspecial requests from Kal Tire management.
• Acts as point-of-contact forany charity/fundraising activities undertaken by Kal Tire.
• Other duties as requested.

Requirements

• 3-4years ofmarketing administrativeand/or CEexperience(or a combination thereof)
• Strong working knowledge ofmarketing & CEprinciples and a keen passion for the work
• Strong organizational skills to keep projects moving and deliverables on time.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to workin a fast-paced environment withmultiple (often competing) deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions.
• Impactfulcommunicatorwithanability to work effectively with a wide range of internal & external stakeholders.
• Resourceful and results-oriented
• Ability to incorporate feedback and key learnings from various projects and make recommendations for improvement.
• Working knowledge of MS Officetools including PowerPointWord& Excel.
• Post-secondarydegree ordiploma in Marketing oran equivalentcombination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

• Some travel isrequired.
• Overtime as required to support marketing activations and special events
• Experience withAdobe Creative Suite (or willingness to learn)anasset.
