Trade Sales Representative
Location: Dublin

Competitive salary plus market leading benefits package

We’re looking for a Trade Sales Representative to drive profitable sales growth, increase market share, and strengthen customer relationships across your territory. In this role, you’ll work closely with painting contractors, specifiers, architects, designers, and key construction partners, helping them select the right coating solutions while growing the presence of Dulux Paints Ireland in the market.

What you'll do:
• Develop and execute a regional business plan focused on sales growth, market share, profitability, and customer development.
• Build strong relationships with painting contractors, architects, designers, specifiers, and key decision-makers within the construction sector.
• Secure product specifications and influence customers to choose Dulux Paints Ireland solutions for their projects.
• Provide technical advice and paint specifications that meet customer requirements while driving profitable sales.
• Identify and win new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
• Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Forecast sales trends and customer demand to support effective business planning.
• Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and credit control, to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Support promotional activities and maximise opportunities to increase sales and market penetration.
• Take ownership of customer queries and complaints, ensuring they are resolved quickly and professionally.

What you bring:
• Previous experience in a field-based sales role, ideally within construction, coatings, building materials, or a related industry.
• A proven track record of delivering sales growth and achieving commercial targets.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
• Good understanding of the construction industry and specification selling.
• Technical knowledge relevant to coatings, construction products, or building solutions.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• A full, clean driving licence.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
