Job description
Pursue a pivotal role as Director of Investment with Innovacorp, Nova Scotia's leader in early-stage venture capital. Champion the advancement of ground-breaking start-ups by identifying lucrative investment opportunities. As an Investment Director at Innovacorp, you will report to the Vice President of Investment and focus on nurturing the startup ecosystem in sectors like clean technology and ocean technology. Your keen insights will drive strategic initiatives, allowing you to manage a portfolio and interact with key stakeholders, ensuring startups receive the support necessary to thrive and reach their goals. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and secure promising seed and early-stage deals • Involve in the investment review, approval, and closing processes • Guide portfolio companies and participate on boards • Implement growth-enhancing external services • Craft strategies for successful investment exits Requirements: • Master’s or professional degree with 5-10 years relevant experience • Experience in sales, marketing, or tech development • Financial services experience preferred • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to engage diverse audiences and build strategic relationships Shape the future of innovative technology and investment management with Innovacorp, making a lasting difference in the venture capital landscape. #J-18808-Ljbffr
