Our client, a well known sugar production plant, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will be part of the Maintenance and Operations team supporting plant reliability, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Vancouver, BC
Pay Range: $105,000 – $125,000 annually + incentive plan + employee share purchase program
What’s the Job?
- Supervise and support maintenance staff to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate and oversee equipment repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and major maintenance activities.
- Contribute to maintenance planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, including safety, quality, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting best maintenance practices.
What’s Needed? - Red Seal Millwright or equivalent mechanical trade certification required.
- 5–7+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in an industrial or production environment, ideally working with unionized employees.
- Experience with maintenance systems (CMMS) and preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and safety-focused operations is considered an asset.
