Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in a manufacturing and warehouse environment near L4A 2G5. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical systems, keeping critical equipment running, and supporting safe, efficient operations.
The Equipment Mechanic will maintain and repair stressing equipment, warehouse machinery, and production support systems used in infrastructure-related manufacturing operations. This is a stable opportunity with a global industry leader known for technical innovation, safety-focused operations, and essential work that supports major construction and infrastructure projects.
You will be part of a collaborative team environment where maintenance, warehouse, production, and administrative teams work closely together to minimize downtime and support customer needs. The role offers variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise across equipment such as stressing jacks, pumps, gauges, forklifts, conveyor lines, bandsaws, and other industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stressing equipment, including jacks, rams, pumps, gauges, and related accessories.
- Prepare equipment orders for shipment, review returned equipment for damage, complete repairs, and configure equipment for upcoming customer orders.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse and manufacturing machinery, including bandsaws, forklifts, conveyor lines, and other mechanical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, complete minor electrical repairs, and respond quickly to emergency repair needs to reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair histories, equipment locations, and technical documentation in coordination with administrative and operations teams.
- Follow all safety procedures, keep tools and parts organized, and assist with operator training on basic equipment upkeep and troubleshooting.
