Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Designer with expertise in solution architecture data integration ETL technologies and legacy system modernization. The successful candidate will lead the analysis documentation and design of complex enterprise solutions with a strong focus on Informatica-based ETL environments data architecture and system integrations. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders technical teams and governance bodies to ensure scalable secure and compliant solutions that align with organizational standards and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze document and modernize legacy application and data integration architectures.
  
• Assess existing systems interfaces data flows dependencies and integration patterns.
  
• Perform detailed analysis of Informatica ETL processes including mappings workflows transformations data lineage and performance optimization.
  
• Develop current-state and future-state architecture models technical designs system context diagrams and integration specifications.
  
• Translate business requirements into scalable maintainable and secure solution architectures.
  
• Map business processes to supporting applications databases data flows and ETL processes to ensure end-to-end traceability.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders developers architects and data teams to define and implement effective solutions.
  
• Conduct impact assessments dependency analysis and risk evaluations related to system changes and modernization initiatives.
  
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards Information Management principles security policies and accessibility requirements.
  
• Participate in architecture reviews governance processes and design workshops.
  
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout project delivery.
  
• Promote reuse of existing services integration components and enterprise data assets.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in solution design solution architecture or enterprise application design.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
  
• Extensive experience in ETL development data integration and data architecture.
  
• Strong understanding of data modeling metadata management data lineage and data quality principles.
  
• Experience documenting and analyzing complex legacy systems and integration environments.
  
• Proven ability to develop architecture artifacts including solution designs technical specifications data flow diagrams and interface documentation.
  
• Knowledge of Information Management principles governance frameworks and architecture best practices.
  
• Understanding of accessibility standards (AODA) and their impact on solution design.
  
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management communication and facilitation abilities.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
  
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory Informatica IICS/IDMC and other cloud-based integration platforms.
  
• Experience with API design microservices and enterprise integration patterns.
  
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration and data solutions.
  
• Experience with data governance Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality frameworks.
  
• Previous experience working within Ontario Public Service (OPS) or other public-sector environments.
