Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Engineering Group at GM of Canada Company St. Catharines Propulsion Plant. This role will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes ensuring product quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to identify and eliminate waste standardize processes and improve overall operational efficiency.

• Conduct in-depth Process Engineering analyses including process flow PFMEA cycle time studies and bottleneck identification.

• Manage existing processes and develop opportunities to improve uptimes cycle times adn throughput including implement new manufacturing processes equipment and tooling.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality and maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement in a unionized environment.

• Prepare detailed analysis related to manufacturing processes and projects.

Job Qualifications

• Successful completion of a bachelors degree in engineering (Manufacturing Mechanical or Related field preferred).

• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role preferably within the automotive industry. Understanding Engine component manufacturing is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience with General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) or similar lean manufacturing methodologies.

• Expertise in Process Engineering techniques including process optimization and troubleshooting.

• Experience leading and facilitating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).

• Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $76100.00 to $114300.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
