ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ready Mix Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to job sites, including homeowners and industry clients. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining strong customer relationships by providing excellent service with a professional and friendly attitude. The position requires a service-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure high-quality product delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Provide consistent and reliable customer service through timely and professional delivery of Ready Mix Concrete.
  • Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle through daily pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Collaborate effectively with Logistics and Operations teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of traffic rules and regulations while operating commercial vehicles.
  • Efficiently navigate Grande Prairie and surrounding areas to optimize on-time deliveries.
  • Utilize electronic devices (tablets, GPS, etc.) for operations and communication.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and development through Amrize's Ready Mix Training Program.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.



WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Grade 12 or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Experience as a Ready Mix Driver or in a related field preferred
Required Training/Certifications: Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q license - Driver's abstract required when applying
Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic devices such as tablets and GPS systems
Travel Requirements: Local travel required to job sites
Additional Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relationship-building with external customers and internal Amrize personnel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule, including potential weekend shifts
  • Open-minded and quick learner
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
