Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled OBIEE Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Oracle BI tools. The role involves building dashboards, reports, and data models that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
BI Development
Design and develop OBIEE dashboards, reports, and scorecards
Create interactive visualizations for business users
Customize reports with filters, prompts, and drill-down capabilities
RPD Development (Repository Design)
Develop and maintain OBIEE Repository (RPD), including:
Physical Layer
Business Model & Mapping (BMM) Layer
Presentation Layer
Implement logical schemas, joins, hierarchies, and aggregates
Data Analysis & Modeling
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Build and optimize data models for reporting and analytics
Work closely with data warehouse and ETL teams
Performance Tuning
Optimize report performance and query execution
Troubleshoot issues related to slow reports or data inconsistencies
Implement caching and aggregate navigation
Integration
Integrate OBIEE with data sources (Oracle DB, SQL Server, flat files, etc.)
Work with ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, Talend) for data pipelines
Support integration with other Oracle tools (e.g., ODI, OAC)
Security & Governance
Implement user authentication and authorization
Manage data-level security (row-level, object-level)
Ensure data governance and compliance policies are followed
Testing & Deployment
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
Handle deployments across environments (Dev, QA, Prod)
Maintain version control of RPD and reports
Required Skills
Core Skills
Strong experience in:
OBIEE 11g/12c
RPD modeling (Physical, BMM, Presentation layers)
Expertise in Answers, Dashboards, and
Database Knowledge
Oracle Database (preferred)
SQL Server / PostgreSQL
Understanding of query optimization, indexing, joins
