The Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) is the national voice of Canada’s steel industry, representing 100% of domestic steel production and some of the country’s largest steel users. Operating in an increasingly complex Canadian, North American, and global policy, trade, and economic environment, CSPA advocates for a sector that plays a critical role in Canada’s economic and national security. The steel industry supports key sectors across the economy, including automotive, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and defence.
At a pivotal moment for the sector, CSPA is seeking a President & CEO to lead the Association’s advocacy and industry engagement during a period of significant geopolitical and trade uncertainty.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO serves as the chief advocate and public voice of the Association, representing member interests with governments, industry leaders, and key partners across Canada and North America.
Leading a small, high-performing team, the President & CEO will work closely with a Board comprised of CEOs and senior industry leaders to build alignment across the membership and advance a clear and compelling industry agenda on issues impacting the sector.
The ideal candidate is a credible and influential leader with strong government relations and advocacy experience, ideally gained within an industry, trade association, government, or similarly complex stakeholder environment. Experience related to trade policy, industrial strategy, manufacturing competitiveness, or North American market dynamics will be considered a strong asset.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future competitiveness and strategic direction of a critical Canadian industry. To learn more about this impactful role, please contact John Caminiti and Brad Wilson at bwilson@boyden.com and state “CSPA, President & CEO” in the subject line of your e-mail.
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
