Are you detail-focused, organised, and confident working with high volumes of invoices? We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Support Office Finance team and support the accurate, timely processing of invoices, credit notes and other accounts payable documentation.
You’ll work closely with internal teams to resolve invoice, pricing, receipting and claim queries, ensuring transactions are processed correctly through SAP and associated systems. This role is a great opportunity to build on your accounts payable experience in a fast-paced retail environment, supporting well-known New Zealand brands including Briscoes and Rebel Sport.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Process trade and non-trade invoices, credit notes and other accounts payable documents through SAP and associated systems.
- Review, investigate and resolve invoice and credit note exceptions, including pricing, receipting and matching queries, working with internal teams as required.
- Process claim reversals, petty cash, debit balance payments, debtor offset invoices, import invoices and supplier rebates.
- Ensure invoices, credit notes and other documents are processed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying issues and helping maintain efficient accounts payable processes.
About you
You’ll bring strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and the ability to stay focused while working through high volumes of information.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience processing invoices against purchase orders.
- An understanding of the end-to-end accounts payable process.
- Confidence working in a high-volume processing environment.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow up queries professionally.
- A practical, can-do approach and willingness to help where needed.
Experience with SAP, stock invoice matching, or basic Excel would be advantageous, but is not essential.
What we offer
- A Support Office-based role with a well-established New Zealand retail group.
- The opportunity to work across recognised brands including Briscoes and Rebel Sport.
- A supportive team environment where accuracy, teamwork and reliability are valued.
- Ongoing exposure to high-volume accounts payable processes and systems.
We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer, a Platinum Partner of First Foundation, and proud supporter and promoter of Cure Kids.
