Job description

The opportunity


Modern Requirements is a fast-growing company building innovative AI solutions for requirements management and traceability, and we are the exclusive solution provider in our space for Azure DevOps. Our application is a G2 top-awarded product and a top-awarded solution recognized by Info-Tech Research Group, and we are hiring a Senior Sales Executive to own new business and grow existing accounts.


You will sell a mature, award-winning product into engineering, product, and quality teams, and you will have real influence over strategy, not just a quota. This is a full-time, fully remote role open to candidates based in Ontario.

What you will do


You will own the full sales cycle: sourcing and qualifying prospects, running tailored demos, navigating technical buyers, negotiating contracts, and closing. Beyond closing, you will build durable client relationships that drive renewals and expansion, partner with product and marketing on positioning and pipeline, and bring market insight back to the team to shape where we go next.


What we are looking for (must-haves)


A proven B2B SaaS sales track record, ideally selling technical software to software-development, product, or QA audiences. You can run a consultative, solution-led sales process end to end, are comfortable with CRM-driven pipeline management and accurate forecasting, and have strong negotiation and communication skills. A working understanding of the software development lifecycle is important, since you will be selling to technical buyers.


Strong pluses (not required)


Experience selling within the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft co-sell motions) is a significant advantage, as is direct experience with requirements management or ALM tooling. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
