Job description
Support older adults with mental health needs as a Registered Nurse focused on geriatric psychiatry. This role involves collaboration with families, caregivers, and agencies to enhance patient quality of life.

The Geriatric Psychiatry program assesses and treats mental illnesses in adults over 65. We are seeking a Registered Nurse with up to three months of nursing experience and a solid understanding of mental health and addiction issues. Your role will require effective communication skills and the ability to demonstrate knowledge in psychiatric nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide care for elderly patients with complex mental health needs • Collaborate with families and healthcare providers • Assess patient conditions and develop treatment plans • Ensure compliance with nursing standards and legislation • Maintain effective communication with diverse patients

Requirements: • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario • Up to three months of nursing experience • CPR certification within the last 12 months • Knowledge in mental health/addictions and relevant legislation • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
