Kelly Services is seeking an experienced and dynamic onsite Supervisor to lead operations at major automotive manufacturing and associated supplier locations, including a busy warehouse supporting offsite containment activities. This key role is responsible for supervising daily containment and quality inspection activities, supporting a dedicated temporary workforce, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Supervision & Operations - Supervise Kelly temporary employees onsite, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Schedule and assign containment and sorting work duties.
- Oversee containment activities for quality and efficiency; participate in light labour (parts inspection) as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity and audit data.
Training & Leadership - Train and support Kelly temporary employees on quality processes and policies.
- Share industry best practices and provide daily guidance.
- Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
Reporting & Documentation - Ensure accurate data collection within internal systems.
- Complete and submit required reports (containment, work audits, timecard verification).
- Submit timesheets weekly and maintain effective shift-to-shift communication.
Safety & Compliance - Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Participate in and support safety meetings with management.
- Report any safety incidents or near-misses immediately.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Communication & Coordination - Communicate operational and safety updates with all relevant management and team members.
- Maintain strong written and verbal communication across all levels.
- Participate in regular meetings and ensure effective shift documentation.
Schedule Requirements - Must be available for rotating day and afternoon shifts.
Additional Guidelines - All employee relations matters are managed by the Kelly Operations Manager and Talent Advisor.
- HR-related concerns must be reported promptly to the leadership team.
- Supervisors must support operations while maintaining professional boundaries.
Qualifications & Skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehousing (preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail in reporting and documentation.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
