Your new role
In this role, you will be supporting senior staff with project delivery. You will be working at all phases of the projects, from interacting with clients to design development to permitting and field reviews. You will be supporting architectural and integrated projects through developing design concepts, presentation material, and contract documentation. You will create a variety of material including sketches, renderings, models, presentation boards, material boards, graphics, details, sections, elevations, and schedules. You will also assist in the preparation of development permit, rezoning submission, building permit and construction drawing packages. You will be participating in client presentations and consultant meetings, while coordinating consultant design and shop drawings.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of local experience and be registered or eligible to be registered with the AIBC. You will have profound knowledge of DP and BP submissions and experience in conducting site reviews and providing reports. You will understand sustainable design, LEED, BC Energy Step code, ASHRAE 90.1, NECB and other such programs, codes and standards. You will have a high level of proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit / BIM, Photoshop / InDesign. You will have expertise in 6-story wood frame and ground-up and high-rise hotel / condo projects.
