As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our Long-Term Rental Lease Program and develop lasting customer relationships throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing deals.

Your primary focus will be securing long-term vehicle rental lease agreements for a variety of vehicles ranging from cars to commercial trucks. You will actively prospect for new business through both digital marketing initiatives and face-to-face customer engagement.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable meeting business owners, fleet managers, contractors, municipalities, and corporate clients while confidently presenting solutions that meet their transportation needs.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, target-driven, digitally savvy, and excited about the opportunity to earn significant performance-based commission income.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Prospecting:
  • Identify and pursue new long-term rental leasing opportunities.
  • Generate leads through digital platforms, social media, online research, networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
  • Build relationships with businesses requiring transportation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

Customer Engagement:
  • Meet with prospective customers in person and virtually.
  • Conduct needs assessments and recommend customized vehicle leasing solutions.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Build long-term customer relationships focused on retention and growth.

Sales & Negotiation:
  • Prepare quotes and rental lease proposals.
  • Negotiate agreements and close long-term rental lease contracts.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Expand existing customer accounts through additional rental leasing opportunities.

Market Development:
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Identify new markets and industries for growth.
  • Promote Clearway's Long-Term Rental Lease Program throughout the region.

Reporting & CRM Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and sales opportunities.
  • Track performance against established goals and KPIs.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding pipeline activity and market feedback.

Qualifications:

Experience:
  • Proven success in outside sales & account management.
  • Experience in automotive, transportation, fleet, rental, equipment, or rental leasing industries is considered a strong asset not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient with digital prospecting tools, social media, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

Requirements:
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly wage of $23–$27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Performance Incentives:
  • Strong commission program with uncapped earning potential.
