What is the opportunity?

RBC Global Asset Management (“RBC GAM”) is a North American-based asset manager with global scope and industry-leading investment management capabilities.

As part of a high performing team, this role will provide support in the day-to-day operations, valuations and reporting of the PH&N family of funds, with a focus on our specialty fund offerings. For more information, please visit: https://www.rbcgam.com/en/ca

What will you do?

• Ensure completion of daily tasks including preparation and review of trades, processing mortgage transactions, reconciliation of banks accounts
• Support RBC GAM’s specialty funds including the calculation of performance fees, maintaining trading calendars, and performing related fund accounting processes
• Review and prepare monthly and quarterly reports to key stakeholders
• Assist in preparation and reviewing semi-annual and year-end financial statements including audit support, research and resolution of discrepancies
• Assist in operational initiatives and enhancements and maintain internal procedures/policies and ensure controls are followed
• Other related duties as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

• High attention to detail accuracy
• Practical knowledge of financial products, Mutual fund operations
• Basic accounting skills
• Ability to deal with the pressures of strict deadlines
• Good judgment and problem solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced PC literacy, specifically MS Excel and Eagle Investment
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills
• Flexibility to work overtime when required

Nice to Have

• Successful completion of a related post-secondary degree or diploma
• Experience in the Mutual Fund/Investment industry along with 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Completion of an industry related course (IFIC Mutual Funds Course or CSC) would be considered an asset.

The expected salary range for the above position is $55,000 - $70,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
