Advisor, Information Security Architecture
About the Company
Our client is a large institutional investment organization managing a diversified global portfolio across public markets, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, natural resources, and private debt. With significant assets under management and an international presence, the organization supports long-term investment strategies through a strong focus on governance, innovation, and risk management.
The organization is currently seeking an Advisor, Information Security Architecture. As a member of the Information Security team and a subject matter expert, you will develop security architectures and provide guidance and expertise in securing cloud, technology, and business solutions. The role focuses on reducing risk and protecting the organization from financial, operational, reputational, and regulatory exposure while supporting technology teams and business stakeholders on information security matters.
We are looking for someone with experience in Security Architecture who can operate in a strategic advisory capacity. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills, business acumen, and up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, including those involving artificial intelligence.
Title: Advisor, Information Security Architecture
Location: Downtown Montreal
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days per week in office, increasing to 4 days per week)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
• Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of the organization's information security framework.
• Conduct third-party security risk assessments and ensure remediation recommendations are implemented.
• Guide the implementation of security controls for technology and business initiatives.
• Review technology solutions and integrations to identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Advise project teams and business stakeholders on security risks and requirements.
• Represent Information Security in cross-functional working groups and governance activities.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging threats, and cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in information security, security architecture, or technology risk management.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP, CSSLP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CGEIT are considered assets.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, NIST, Zero Trust Architecture, CSA CCM, and COBIT.
• Experience supporting cloud transformations, cloud security initiatives, and modern data or AI environments is an asset.
• Strong understanding of application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, and associated security technologies.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile/DevSecOps delivery methodologies.
• Experience with programming, scripting, or query languages is an asset.
• Bilingualism in English and French is required.
