About the Job: The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, top-line sales driven, profitable, and productive store location. The Assistant Manager must inspire and motivate others by exhibiting core value behaviors—including a customer-focused selling culture—and ensuring the execution of the Store’s KPIs. Assistant Managers also hold store employees accountable for following all policies and procedures.
A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:
Displays a customer-focused mindset at all times and ensures all team members deliver an engaging, positive and authentic customer experience.
Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempts to "solve for yes" and escalates issues as appropriate.
Maintains a clean and well‑organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment.
Shares feedback from customers with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experience.
Performs as the floor supervisor during non‑peak periods (e.g., breaks).
Coaches and provides feedback on Sales Associate performance.
Supports associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
Provides direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standards.
Prioritizes and delegates tasks to meet all operational needs.
Supports and executes visual directives and maintains visual standards set by the company.
Drives efficiency in all operational store processes.
Maintains merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
Ensures all store associates follow all policies, procedures, and all Safety Program practices.
Reflects the PacSun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
Inspires and motivates others by consistently exhibiting core value behaviors.
Demonstrates willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn about new product, brand, fashion, and trend developments.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent time‑management skills.
Proficient in math and strong computer skills.

Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 35 pounds.
Frequently sit/stand for long periods of time and climb ladders as needed.
Regularly required to talk or hear; frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach, twist, or squat as necessary.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required for SM and above roles only.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full‑time position. Ability to work 32‑40 hours a week is required. As a national retailer, flexibility with work schedule (including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods) is required.
