Job description
Advance meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities as an Indigenous Engagement Specialist at WSP in British Columbia. Lead key projects that shape environmental assessments and permit processes while honoring Indigenous Knowledge.

In this senior role, you will leverage over 15 years of experience in Indigenous engagement to build trust and execute effective engagement plans. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams with environmental scientists and cultural specialists to enhance sustainable practices. You will work directly in communities, ensuring that Indigenous perspectives meaningfully inform project decision-making.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and lead engagement plans respecting community protocols • Collaborate with Indigenous Nations on Knowledge studies • Assess project impacts on Indigenous rights and interests • Integrate Indigenous perspectives into technical studies • Support community workshops and knowledge-gathering sessions

Requirements: • 15+ years in Indigenous engagement or related fields • Strong understanding of Indigenous governance and laws • Proven experience with community-based research • Excellent writing and synthesis skills • Valid driver's license and ability to work in remote areas
