Job description
Position Title: Housekeeper, Full-time

Available: ASAP

Applicant Deadline: Until filled

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) is currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Housekeeper.

In this challenging position, the successful candidate will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor and be responsible for cleaning all surfaces including floors, walls, kitchens, washrooms, emptying and sorting garbage, recyclables, and adhering to the college health and safety practices. This position requires cleaning in various areas of the college as required, including deep cleaning of public areas.

Cleaning all surfaces including floors, walls, kitchens, and washrooms.

Emptying and sorting garbage and recyclables.

Adhering to college health and safety practices.

Deep cleaning public areas as required.

Working in various areas of the college.

Shift Times Shift times will be the following:

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Experience working in a housekeeping position or similar role.

Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, sweeping, pushing/pulling carts, reaching forward, above and below the shoulders, and lifting up to 20 kg.

Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment, and knowledge of sterilization procedures.

Ability to work with floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, carpet shampooers, and various other cleaning equipment.

WHMIS qualification an asset.

Must be flexible and available to work on short notice (e.g., same day) when needed.

The starting salary for this role is $34,000.00 annually. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, a recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our compensation package.

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan‑Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
