Job description
Support operations at St Barbara’s Touquoy mine as a Utility Operator. This full-time role encompasses operating mill processes and ensuring a clean, safe environment for all team members.
We invite applications for eight Utility Operator positions within Atlantic Operations at St Barbara Limited. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will engage in essential tasks, from operating mobile equipment to conducting inspections and keeping logs updated. Ideal candidates will have experience in industrial environments, especially in gold processing, and be prepared to lead training efforts.
Key Responsibilities: • Seamlessly operate mill processes according to standards • Carry out regular inspections and maintain equipment logs • Lead and train new Utility Operators • Supervise logistics and ore supply to the mill • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and safety in work areas
Requirements: • Class 5 driver's license required • Nova Scotia High School Diploma or equivalent • Previous experience in industrial contexts preferred • Competent in automated maintenance tools and software • Ability to manage unexpected operational challenges
