Company Overview As a rapidly growing school division in Alberta, Rocky View Schools (RVS) supports the educational needs of more than 29,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in 53 schools to ensure they learn, belong and succeed.

RVS is situated on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta including the Siksikaitsitapi (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Amskapi Pikuni), the Tsuut’ina, the îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, Goodstoney), and the Rocky View Métis District.

The Opportunity RVS invites you to apply for a full‑time (1.0 FTE) High School Drama/French teaching position starting 27 August 2026 at Bert Church High School. Fluency in French and English is a requirement for this position.

Bert Church High School, located in the City of Airdrie, serves students from grades 10 to 12. Information regarding this school may be found at https://bertchurch.rockyview.ab.ca/.

Pre‑employment Requirements

Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible, you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.

New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter, please submit your final practicum report.

External applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months.

The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
