We specialize in working diligently and collaboratively with our clients to achieve long-lasting, impactful results across numerous business functions. Our areas of expertise include Project Controls, Project Management, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Organizational Change Management, Enterprise Reporting, Estimating, Asset Management, and System Implementation for Capital Projects.

We draw upon decades of project experience to deliver customized solutions to our clients’ most complex challenges. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our high-performing, diverse, and innovative consulting team. The Opportunity The Project Controls Manager will lead the successful planning, execution, and control of large-scale capital and infrastructure projects across sectors including construction, energy, transportation, and commercial development.

This leadership role oversees all aspects of cost, schedule, risk, and performance monitoring, ensuring consistent delivery of high-value project controls services to clients and internal stakeholders. This is a full-time, non-remote, in-office position based in Toronto, Ontario. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for project controls teams supporting complex capital and infrastructure projects. Lead the development and implementation of project controls plans, tools, and processes in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders. Manage the preparation, updating, and analysis of integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools. Oversee cost control processes including budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting in alignment with client expectations and financial governance. Direct risk management activities, ensuring proactive identification, mitigation, and tracking of project risks across cost and schedule dimensions. Lead earned value management (EVM) implementation and reporting to evaluate project performance and efficiency. Perform high-level schedule logic analysis, identify critical path issues, and propose corrective action plans. Manage change control processes, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of changes to cost, scope, and schedule. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on schedule, budget, and risk performance; produce dashboards and executive-level summaries. Mentor, train, and supervise project controls consultants and analysts, fostering professional growth and technical excellence. Serve as the primary client contact for all project controls matters, building strong relationships and trust at senior levels. Contribute to internal knowledge development, standards implementation, and quality assurance reviews. Support proposal development, resourcing, and the onboarding of new project controls assignments. Ensure compliance with internal controls, contractual obligations, and applicable industry standards. Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of best practices across the function. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 10 years of total project experience, including at least 5 years in a project controls management role. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent working experience. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (PMP, PSP, CRMA, or equivalent) are preferred. Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel. Proven experience managing project controls functions on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or capital projects. Extensive knowledge of earned value management and performance measurement techniques. Advanced knowledge of cost estimation, budget management, scheduling, and quantitative risk analysis. Experience developing and managing WBS and CBS across a variety of project scopes. Strong command of project management methodologies, change control processes, and risk frameworks. Experience in a consulting environment or managing client relationships in a project delivery context. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex project controls data clearly and concisely to executive audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment with minimal supervision. Flexibility to travel and work outside normal business hours as required. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Candidates must be able to commute to Toronto or willing to relocate independently. Note: This role description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
