About the Department
The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting (EFA) is a vibrant, research-active unit within Brunel Business School, employing 38 academic colleagues. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in accounting, finance and economics, with a research‑informed, practice‑oriented teaching ethos that enhances graduate employability.
Position
Lecturer (Education) in Accounting – Full‑time, Permanent, located at Brunel University of London, Uxbridge Campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high‑quality, research‑informed teaching across financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Develop and innovate curriculum, assessment and student support activities.
- Engage in student recruitment, outreach and employability support.
- Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the Department.
- Apply emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in accounting and finance where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong academic background in accounting and related disciplines.
- Experience teaching a broad spectrum of accounting subjects, including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation.
- Desirable expertise in emerging technologies, AI applications, forensic accounting or sustainability accounting.
Salary and Working Hours
- Grade 8: £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London weighting, with potential progress to £65,236 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
- Full‑time hours; hybrid working model supported.
