In this role, you will:
Be responsible for full cycle recruiting
Determine recruitment strategy, develop and maintain strong relationships with HRBPs and Hiring Managers to understand current and future recruitment needs
Source and hire for wide variety of positions within Babcock Canada: Operations, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, Professional etc.
Prioritize client’s requirements in a high volume, time sensitive environment to meet deadlines
Report on Talent Acquisition activities and results
Post positions on LinkedIn, Success Factors and/or other external websites as required
Screen and identify qualified candidates through Success Factors, LinkedIn, referrals, job fairs, networking and direct sourcing
Conduct competency‑based pre‑screen interviews to ensure candidates meet minimum requirements and prepare shortlist
Ensure selection processes comply with statutory and legislative requirements in locations in which Babcock Canada operates
Schedule and facilitate selection panel interviews with internal and external applicants, providing support to managers throughout the hiring process including conducting and coaching on behavioral, situational and technical interviews
Coordinate reference checks, educational verifications and criminal checks with security and background third‑party vendors
Create offer letters and negotiate compensation with applicants
Coordinate start dates with hiring managers and applicants
Develop and maintain Babcock’s Recruitment/STEM Strategy to support current and future business requirements
Liaise with external recruitment agencies as required
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on all candidates and selection processes
Support other tasks and initiatives as required
The ideal candidate brings:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in recruitment or HR with a focus on recruitment
Fluent language knowledge in English, French is an asset
A post‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
CHRP or Recruitment (Registered Professional Recruiter) designation would be considered an asset
Demonstrated experience using Success Factors, LinkedIn and/or related tools for sourcing candidates and headhunting is an asset
A drive for results and a clear vision on what a strategic Talent Acquisition Advisor role is expected to be
An ability to easily manage projects, collaboration skills and teamwork ethos
Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
