Job description
Currently interviewing for part time hours child minding position in Wortley village. Our background : 2 children (boy and girl twins) - age 7 I’m a single dad in Wortley village - I coparent 50:50 time split with their mom who also lives nearby also. The kids are healthy, fairly independent, and bright and well behaved - they go to a private school walking distance away in Wortley. They previously had an awesome nanny (we found on Canadian nanny) for 4 years from Age 1-5 before they went to school full time. They are engaged by art, crafts, reading, and doing active things and getting outside. Child care needs: Presently I’m only messaging for what my potential needs are for child care on the days I have the kids - usually alternating 2 days vs 3 days every other week. I am anticipating the potential for school closures again over the next couple remaining months of school, and there will likely be some need for childcare during the summer and fall. It’s possible if there was a good connection with the kids their mother may also engage your services on her days. If the kids were home from school my hope would be that you would be able to help them with logging in for and for completing their educational tasks. In the private school when the kids do virtual school they only have 2 to 3 hours of zoom and I’ll stream the day and the rest is independent exploration and quests they complete the home and it’s much easier to have an adult engaged with them for that. I have a house cleaner once a week for a deep clean. Additional help sought to keep the kids area and kitchen today; basic lunch preparation for kids, laundry, would be ideal. 2021 Anticipated hours April-July; Sept-Dec - if schools are shut down, I'd anticipate a minimum of 20-30 hours per week from - If schools are allowed to stay open, help with drop off in mornings (730-9 am) , and also afterschool care (3-6 pm) ideal (minimum 15 hours) Summer 2021 (July-Aug) - help on certain weeks (20-30 hrs/wk); dropping off at summer camps (if they run) Let me know if this opportunity interests you and we can set up a meeting or Zoom chat to discuss if you feel our family is a good match.
