Job descriptionData Engineer - Boeing Vancouver, Richmond, BC Boeing is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Science & Analytics team in Richmond, BC. This role supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines, models, contracts, and features used across the organization. Key Responsibilities
Support data science modeling, analytical applications, and problem-solving efforts. Propose data engineering solutions to support different modeling strategies. Design, build, and support healthy, automated, and repeatable data ingestion and processing pipelines: raw data ingestion, cleansing, and data contracts. Design data models and data contracts. Monitor and maintain data quality, integrity, and consistency. Help design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems and environments. Participate in work and code reviews, CI/CD implementation and support. Take part in implementation and support of continuous integration and continuous delivery. Work on systems to monitor system health, data quality, and scientific performance. Implement data access-control for compliance with data governance policies. Contribute to technical documentation and collaborate with developers, analysts, scientists, and leaders. Exhibit sound judgment, keen eye for detail, and tenacity for solving difficult problems. Basic Qualifications (Required)
Minimum 3 years of cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred). Minimum 3 years of experience with relational and non-relational database technologies. Minimum 3 years of experience supporting data science and analytics projects and/or infrastructure. Proficiency in Python. Provide consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment and be willing and eligible to work on government and defense-related programs. Legally able to work in Canada. Must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods. Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance. Must be eligible to handle U.S. export‑controlled data. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Databricks. Technical degree/diploma in a related field. Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies. Experience with graph databases, knowledge graphs, GraphQL, Cypher. Experience designing and implementing data quality monitoring solutions. Expertise in data modeling principles/methods. Experience with development, deployment, and version control tools. Experience with production-level software development. Experience with DevOps technologies (CI/CD, Docker) and practices. Experience with cloud‑deployed APIs and micro‑services. Active Secret Level II clearance. Additional Information
Hybrid work: some onsite work required at Richmond location. Employer will not sponsor employment visa status. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. Salary range: CAD $82,000 – $145,000. Eligible for relocation assistance: not a negotiable benefit. Security clearance: active or ability to obtain Secret Level II.
