Job descriptionBachelor’s Degree in Science or Geological Technician Registered GIT or P.Geo Strong academic and applied background in structural geology Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be part of the Production Geology Department. You will provide accurate delineation of the mineral resource and rigorous production / grade control and manage the underground mine area in order to locate additions to the ore reserve. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Provide ore outline / grade and tonnage profiles on individual work places and provides stope grade forecast
- Coordinate daily activities with the Engineering / Survey and Mine Departments
- Geologically map ore and waste development headings and coordinate / monitor the sampling of development headings
- Produce production and statistical reports, evaluate and define mine ore reserve and maximize the mine ore grade and our mining reserves
- All other duties as may be assigned
