AI Thought Leader & Expert

Position Description:

CGI is seeking an accomplished AI Thought Leader & Expert to join our expanding Management Consulting practice within the Greater Montreal business unit.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a recognized strategist, advisor and innovator who brings deep expertise in artificial intelligence, enterprise transformation and emerging technologies. You will operate at the forefront of AI innovation — helping organizations move beyond experimentation to unlock measurable business value, competitive differentiation and enterprise-wide transformation through responsible and scalable AI adoption.

As a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams, you will shape AI vision, influence strategic direction and guide organizations through the complexities of AI-enabled transformation. You will combine deep market insight, business acumen and technical fluency to help clients reimagine operating models, workforce capabilities, customer experiences and decision-making through AI.

Beyond client delivery, you will serve as a visible AI thought leader both internally and externally — contributing to market-facing perspectives, executive forums, innovation initiatives and strategic growth opportunities that strengthen CGI's leadership position in AI advisory.

This role requires a rare combination of executive advisory capabilities, strategic foresight and deep expertise across the evolving AI ecosystem, including Agentic | Generative AI, enterprise AI platforms, data modernization, governance, responsible AI and digital transformation.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Opportunity
As an AI Thought Leader & Expert, you will help organizations define, operationalize and scale enterprise AI strategies that align innovation with measurable business outcomes.
You will work closely with C-suite and senior business leaders to shape AI-enabled transformation agendas, modernize operating models and establish governance frameworks that enable responsible and sustainable AI adoption.
You will provide deep expertise on industry-led strategic advisory engagements focused on:
- Enterprise AI vision and strategy
- Agentic | Generative AI adoption and scaling
- AI-enabled business transformation
- Responsible AI governance and digital trust
- AI operating models and organizational readiness
- Enterprise data and AI modernization
- AI value realization and investment prioritization
- Workforce transformation and AI adoption
- Executive AI education and strategic advisory
You will also play a critical role in expanding CGI's AI advisory presence by:
- Developing innovative AI consulting offerings
- Publishing thought leadership and market insights
- Supporting strategic business development initiatives
- Representing CGI at conferences, executive forums and industry events
- Building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Mentoring and developing emerging AI consulting talent
Your Future Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic AI advisor to executive and board-level stakeholders
- Lead the development of enterprise AI and Agentic | Generative AI strategies aligned to business priorities and long-term transformation objectives
- Facilitate executive workshops and strategic discussions on AI innovation, disruption and emerging market trends
- Advise clients on responsible AI adoption, governance, ethics, regulatory considerations and risk management frameworks
- Define AI operating models, governance structures and enterprise capability roadmaps
- Identify and prioritize high-value AI transformation opportunities across business functions and industries
- Conduct AI maturity and organizational readiness assessments
- Partner with business and technology leaders to align AI strategies with enterprise architecture, cloud, data and digital transformation initiatives
- Develop executive-level recommendations, transformation roadmaps and strategic investment cases
- Contribute to CGI's AI intellectual capital, innovation agenda and go-to-market strategy
- Act as a visible AI thought leader through publications, speaking engagements, executive briefings and industry participation
- Ensure alignment with Global and Canada on go-to-market offerings
- Support strategic pursuits, proposal development and growth initiatives across the consulting practice
- Mentor and coach consultants and emerging leaders within the AI and digital transformation space

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Extensive experience in AI strategy, enterprise transformation, management consulting or executive technology advisory
- Recognized expertise in artificial intelligence, including Agentic | Generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation and advanced analytics
- Extensive business and technical acumen with proven ability to advise executive stakeholders and influence strategic business decisions
- Strong understanding of responsible AI, governance frameworks, AI ethics, regulatory considerations and digital trust
- Experience developing enterprise AI strategies, operating models and transformation roadmaps
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen with the ability to translate emerging technologies into measurable business value
- Executive communication, storytelling and facilitation skills with strong presence and influence
- Deep understanding of enterprise data strategy, cloud ecosystems and digital modernization trends
- Demonstrated external thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, market insights or industry participation is highly valued
- Strong network within the AI, innovation or technology ecosystem is considered an asset
- Bilingualism (French and English) is highly desirable
