Responsibilities
Acadia is seeking a Financial Analyst within the Department of Financial Services to play a key role in supporting the University's financial management and research accounting activities. This position serves as one of the primary points of contact within Financial Services for researchers and their supporting staff, providing financial guidance, reporting support, and assistance with university financial systems.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance, the Financial Analyst will support the administration and financial management of research grants and funding, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and the accuracy of financial reporting. The role is responsible for research invoicing, managing research receivables, reconciling financial reports, and coordinating with external funding agencies and organizations.
The Financial Analyst will develop and maintain comprehensive research accounts receivable reporting, while also supporting the development of processes and procedures for integrating data from Colleague Finance into research financial reporting tools. Working closely with the Manager, Research Accounting, the position contributes to the effective financial oversight and administration of all research accounting activities.
In addition, the Financial Analyst will collaborate with other members of the Finance team and provide project management support for various departmental initiatives and projects.
