Job Description

We are seeking multiple Journeyman and apprentice plumbers with commercial experience to join our team. The role involves managing and executing various plumbing tasks including above slab installations, copper water lines, hydronic heating and cooling systems installations, plastic, storm sewers and sanitary sewers, gas line installations, and building mechanical rooms. You will also be responsible for installing equipment for both plumbing and hydronics systems. Most of the work is located in the north of Calgary and Balzac.

Responsibilities

• Perform above slab installations and manage copper water lines.
• Install hydronic heating and cooling systems.
• Handle plastic, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers.
• Install gas lines and build mechanical rooms.
• Lead an apprentice and work independently with strong commercial experience.
• Read and interpret blueprints for project execution.
• Ensure customer service and communication is effective.

Essential Skills

• Journeyman or apprentice plumber with commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in gas line installations.
• Ticketed Plumber certification.
• Ability to commute to site with a vehicle.
• Experience in commercial new construction including warehouses, office buildings, retail stores, and commercial high-rises.
• Fall Protection and AWP certifications.

Work Environment

The work environment involves foremen arriving at 6:45am to fill out paperwork and organize the team for a 7am start.

The hours are Monday to Thursday from 7am to 3:30pm, with a 45-minute lunch break, and Friday is an 8-hour day.

The workplace requires wearing PPE, including 6-inch steel toe boots, hard hat, gloves, glasses, and vest.
