Benefits Advisor (Fully Remote)

Our client, a well-established and highly respected consulting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Benefits Advisor to join their growing team. This is a fully remote opportunity offering the chance to work closely with a Senior Managing Consultant, gaining hands-on exposure to both group benefits and group retirement plans while supporting a diverse portfolio of clients.
Position Overview
The Benefits Advisor will play a key supporting role in the day-to-day management of client accounts, with a strong focus on reporting, analysis, and client service. This position is ideal for someone who is analytical, organized, and eager to deepen their expertise in the group benefits and retirement space while working in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain quarterly and annual reporting for group retirement plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and update governance and performance reports for client presentations and internal review
- Support the Senior Managing Consultant in managing client relationships, including responding to inquiries related to plan design, performance, and issues
- Liaise with insurance carriers and providers to gather data, resolve issues, and obtain plan information
- Actively participate in client meetings (virtual and occasional in-person), contributing insights and supporting overall client deliverables
- Assist in the coordination and execution of client deliverables across both group health and group retirement programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all reporting aligns with client expectations and compliance standards
- Provide ongoing administrative and analytical support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite (data analysis, reporting, and presentation preparation)
- Demonstrated experience with group benefits and group retirement plans
- Familiarity with insurance carrier reporting platforms and tools
- Solid understanding of Group Retirement Plans and Group Health Benefits
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
- A proactive, eager-to-learn mindset, with a genuine interest in developing within the benefits consulting space
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
