National Channel Sales & Business Development Manager (US and Canada)
Position Status: New Role
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 CAD plus performance bonus based on experience.
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time
Hybrid – 3 days in the office per week, with Wednesdays required.

Schwank Outdoor Products is a subsidiary of Schwank North America and is expanding fast — from premium grills (schwankgrill.com) to an innovative new line of outdoor living products. We're looking for a driven, creative, commercially minded Channel Development Manager to help unlock our next phase of growth across retail and online marketplaces in both US and Canada, while also supporting long-term product sourcing and supplier development.
If you’re energetic, persuasive, with a strong ownership mentality and love building things from the ground up, this role is for you. This is a startup-style position: you will wear multiple hats, help build functions that do not yet exist, and take ownership across channels, relationships, and execution.
What You’ll Own
Channel Expansion
- Develop and grow retail channels (big box, specialty, and outdoor living stores)
- Assist with outreach, pitching, and relationship-building with buyers and category managers
- Coordinate onboarding requirements, merchandising needs, and line reviews
- Coordinate with marketing and eCommerce agencies to optimize listings, ads, and channel performance
- Managing sales channels for premium brands, aligning brand positioning with customer needs and market trends
Revenue Growth & Execution
- Track performance metrics across accounts, channels, and campaigns
- Work closely with internal operations to ensure inventory, forecasting, and fulfillment readiness
- Ensure smooth execution of channel initiatives and marketplace programs.
Long-Term Growth & Product Sourcing
- Identify new product opportunities through marketplace and retail insights
- Maintain strong relationships with key Canadian buyers, helping accelerate initial sales and channel expansion
- Research and evaluate potential manufacturers (North America & overseas)
- Support white-label product development, cost evaluation, and sample coordination
- Help expand our outdoor product lineup in collaboration with leadership
Broader Responsibilities (Startup Environment)
Because we are a growing organization, responsibilities will evolve. You may also support:
- Consumer marketing campaign planning.
- Shopify & E-commerce website updates and merchandising.
- Coordination with operations and customer care.
- Cross-functional projects as new priorities emerge.
Who You Are
- 3–5 years in B2C consumer goods sales, channel development, business development or account management
- Experience with retail buying cycles, merchandising, or marketplace operations
- Creative problem-solver with a “hunter” mindset, persistent and proactive
- Strong communicator who can build trust with partners and collaborate with internal/external teams.
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities
- Bonus/Nice to have: Experience in outdoor appliances, home improvement, BBQ, or consumer hardgoods
