As a Project Coordinator for PCL Industrial Management Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Ind Mgmt), you'll have the opportunity to assist superintendents and project manager with overalladministrative functions and duties on one large or several smaller project/scopes, usually with a specific trade or area of focus. Here’s how a Project Coordinator for PCL Industrial Management Inc. within Edmonton Industrial Management contributes to our team: Supports with and/or perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting. Communicates with and review trade contractor work (as per the project schedule) and may provide day-to-day direction. Supports with maintaining contract with select subcontractors and responsible for some subcontract administration, including defining work scope, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress. Supports in consults with designers/engineers when reviewing drawings and suggests value-added or alternative construction methods or materials. Assists with the maintenance of the project schedule and costing system. Supports the project team lead in monitoring the design team for timely response to the submittal schedule. Supports pre-commissioning or commissioning as the need arises. Assists the project manager and superintendent in managing and reporting overall project or select scope performance as per site HSE, cost management, schedule, and quality. Assists with site inspections from the design team to resolve constructability and site coordination issues and reviews and signs off on functionality, AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements, and code compliance, while identifying installation deficiencies and witnesses and signs off on systems commissioning. Ensures that resolution is achieved and accepted by all stakeholders. Develops and monitors overall project timeline. Supports project manager in crafting and issuing tender packages and subcontracts and monitoring their progress. Maintains and perform project document control and procedures (coordinating RFIs, shop drawing and submittal process, maintaining as-built drawings, etc.). Coordinates inventory and tracking of materials and equipment and expedites material orders. Qualifications

0–3 years of experience in construction or related field. Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred. Knowledge of a variety of different construction specifications, and methods and procedures (e.g., formwork methodologies, basic scheduling techniques). Knowledge of means and methods and construction sequences. Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges. An understanding of construction law and building codes. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work, and delegate simple tasks. Ability to administer subcontracts and contract documents. Ability to create and schedule projects valued at $1.5M or less. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with key partners and decision makers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology. Primary Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Ind Mgmt)
