Job description
Enhance Indigenous partnerships as an Indigenous Relations Advisor with Ovintiv in Grande Prairie, AB. This full-time role focuses on strategic engagement and fostering collaboration with Indigenous communities.

In this key position, you will cultivate respectful relationships and advance Ovintiv's Indigenous Relations Strategy. Focused on Northeast British Columbia and Northwest Alberta, the role involves working closely with local communities, managing complex regulatory frameworks, and promoting economic opportunities. Collaborating with internal teams, you'll align community needs with operational goals while representing the company at events.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders • Lead proactive engagement and community involvement initiatives • Implement the Indigenous Relations Strategy for local economic opportunities • Collaborate with internal teams on asset development plans • Represent Ovintiv at Indigenous conferences and government forums

Requirements: • Post-secondary education in Indigenous Studies or related field • Five years experience in Indigenous Relations and consultation • Strong understanding of Indigenous rights and cultural protocols • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel frequently
