Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Scarborough, ON. This role is ideal for a skilled CNC machinist with strong setup, programming, and operating experience who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality machined components.
The CNC Lathe Operator will be responsible for setting up, editing programs, and operating CNC lathes to complete turning, threading, drilling, boring, grooving, and finishing operations according to engineering drawings and strict tolerance requirements. This is a hands-on role in a structured manufacturing environment where safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes for rough and finish turning, threading, tapping, grooving, drilling, and boring operations.
- Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings, G and M codes, manufacturing instructions, and program revisions to ensure accurate production.
- Select proper tooling, measure tool lengths and offsets, monitor cycle times, and make adjustments to meet quality and efficiency targets.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, and verniers to inspect parts against required tolerances.
- Complete first-off and last-off inspections, identify parts correctly, remove burrs and sharp edges, and report nonconformities to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following ISO processes, lockout procedures, machine safety manuals, and plant safety rules.
