Job description
Summer Nanny Needed – Nanoose Bay / Fairwinds, BC Hi there! We are looking for a warm, reliable, and nurturing nanny to help care for our two young daughters (4) & (7) during several weeks this summer at our family home in beautiful Fairwinds, Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. Our home is a short drive from Nanaimo and Parksville, with walkable access to the beach, a large yard for outdoor play, a golf cart, and the nearby Fairwinds Golf Course. It is a wonderful setting for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors and creating fun summer memories with children. Our girls are well-behaved, playful, and curious. They love crafts, colouring, reading, learning, imaginative play, and spending time outside. We work from home, and their grandparent will also be nearby, so support is available when needed. 2026 Dates Needed — Flexible * June 22–26 * June 29–July 3 * July 6–10 * August 17–21 * August 24–28 Schedule * Primarily Monday to Friday * Approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. * We are flexible on exact days and hours This role may also be a great fit for someone interested in returning in future summers, as we spend every summer in Nanoose Bay. There may also be future travel opportunities with our family, although neither is required. Responsibilities * Caring for and engaging our two daughters during the day * Planning simple, fun activities such as crafts, reading, games, outdoor play, and beach walks * Preparing light snacks or meals as needed * Helping maintain a safe, positive, and caring environment Requirements * Previous childcare or nanny experience * Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and kind * Comfortable engaging children in creative and educational activities * Excellent communication skills * Valid driver’s licence * CPR and First Aid certification preferred What We Offer * Competitive compensation * Flexible scheduling * A beautiful summer setting near the beach and golf course * Potential opportunity for future summers and family travel Please message me through this platform with a little about yourself, your childcare experience, your availability, and your expected hourly rate so we can arrange a call.
